Updated: Apr 23, 2024

Ok, let me spill the beans about this life-changing trick that's gonna turn your mornings into a damn good time - magic mushroom coffee! It’s like a delicious, mood-lifting, brain-boosting, kickass way to start your day.

Imagine sipping your coffee, but with a fucking fantastic twist – it’s infused with our favorite fungi, the almighty magic mushrooms. It’s not about tripping balls, but about microdosing to spark creativity, focus, and well-being! All while you enjoy your hot, steamy cup of joe - talk about multitasking!

But hey, magic mushrooms aren’t just a party, they're also a powerhouse of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. So, you're not only feeling light and breezy, you're actually giving your health a sweet little nudge.

Worried about safety? Chill, girlfriend. It’s legit safer than booze. Just do your homework, listen to your bod, and find your perfect balance. Boom! It's like your favorite morning drink, only healthier and, you know, slightly trippier.

#1 ADD MAGIC MUSHROOMS TO COFFEE GROUNDS

Grind up your dried mushrooms or open a capsule (or a few capsules - depending on how strong you want it that day) to the coffee grounds or reusable K cup before brewing your coffee.

This method is the best if you want to make sure there aren't any little pieces of mushrooms in your coffee, but keep in mind that very high heat does destroy some of the potency, so you may have to add more mushrooms to get your desired effect.

PRO TIPS:

  1. Buy whole bean coffee and grind the beans and the dried mushrooms together in the coffee grinder. Save time in the mornings by pre mixing mushroom powder and coffee and putting it in a coffee pouch to keep it fresh. Then, on microdosing days just open and use it quickly.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Ground or Whole Bean Coffee of your choice (this brand is delicious and packs a punch)

Pocket Scale (only if you're using dried mushrooms)

Coffee Pouch (optional)

Coffee Grinder (if using whole dried mushrooms)

Coffee Brewer / Keurig / whatever you make your coffee in

DIRECTIONS:

  1. If you’re using dried mushrooms, weigh out your desired amount and place them in a coffee grinder. If you are using capsules skip to step 4

  2. Turn the coffee grinder on and off quickly to break up large pieces.

  3. Grind the pieces into a fine powder

  4. Add the mushroom powder to your coffee grounds. Save some of the powder for later if you’d like to sprinkle some on top like you would do with cinnamon.

  5. Now it's time to brew your coffee, the longer it steeps, the more magic you’ll get in the final cup.

  6. Add your favorite creamer and toppings and enjoy! Bonus points if you sprinkle some left over powder on top!

2.  MIX MAGIC POWDER INTO CUP OF COFFEE

For this method, After your coffee is brewed, you add the magic mushroom powder just before your creamer.

PROS:

You get the full benefit of the mushrooms because you’ll be digesting them entirely rather than relying on extraction like in the first method.

CONS:

The only downside here is that you may end up with some fibrous bits in your coffee if the mushrooms weren’t ground fine enough.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Ground Coffee (this brand is delicious and packs a punch)

Pocket Scale (only if you're using dried mushrooms)

Coffee Grinder (if using whole dried mushrooms)

Sifter (to avoid pieces of mushroom floating in your coffee)

Coffee Brewer / Keurig / whatever you make your coffee in

DIRECTIONS:

  1. If you’re using dried mushrooms, weigh out your desired amount and place them in a coffee grinder. If you are using capsules skip to step 4

  2. Turn the coffee grinder on and off quickly to break up large pieces.

  3. Grind the pieces into a fine powder

  4. To keep from ending up with pieces of mushroom in your coffee you can use a sifter and shake/sift your mushroom powder into your coffee and then stir it in.

  5. Add your favors creamer and toppings and enjoy!

3. MAGIC BULLET PROOF COFFEE

PROS:

Bulletproof coffee is the best way to mask the taste of the shrooms.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Pocket Scale (only if you're using dried mushrooms)

Coffee Grinder (if using whole dried mushrooms)

Coffee Brewer / Keurig / whatever you make your coffee in

DIRECTIONS:

  1. While you are brewing your coffee as usual, weigh out your desired amount of dried mushrooms and place them in a coffee grinder. If you are using capsules skip to step 4

  2. Turn the coffee grinder on and off quickly to break up large mushroom pieces

  3. Grind the pieces into a fine powder

  4. In a blender, blend your coffee with Bulletproof Ghee, MCT Oil, (and collagen protein if you're a fitness queen) along with your magic mushroom powder until you see froth forming at the top.

  5. Ready to drink! Pour in a glass and enjoy your day!

4. Milk Extraction Method

Ingredients

  • 1 gram dried mushrooms

  • 1 cup milk of choice (I'd go with non dairy because some people think dairy dampens the effects but its up to you)

Instructions

  1. Place a cup of milk in a pan over medium heat. Stir regularly to prevent milk from sticking to the pan’s bottom. (Don't let it boil!)

  2. As the milk warms introduce powdered dry mushrooms. Remove the pan from heat.

  3. Allow the blend to steep for 15-20 minutes.

  4. Use a cheesecloth to strain the liquid, separating it from the leftover mushroom particles.

  5. Use for anything that needs milk that you'd like to add some magic to!

  6. Store in the fridge for later use!
